Title:  Best Practices for Providing Ethical Distance Counseling
Time:  1:30-4:45pm CST

Since the pandemic, many of us have altered the way in which we see clients. Although many clients like in person counseling, offering distance counseling enables counselors to offer an alternative way to conduct therapy; one in which there is flexibility for clients who cannot or prefer not to come into a physical office. Best practices, the benefits and risks of practicing teletherapy, ethical and legal implications, managing emergencies and HIPAA compliance. Current LPC Board guidelines for distance counseling will also be discussed.

Cost: $50.00 for each 3 hour session for members 
$75.00 for each 3 hour session for non-members
