Many Black individuals face unique challenges in seeking and engaging in the therapeutic process. These challenges can arise from cultural differences, historical mistrust of the medical systems, and, sometimes, a clinician's own unconscious biases. This presentation will explore barriers and identify strategies to create a more culturally sensitive therapeutic environment to further develop clinical skills when work with black clients.
