The Louisiana Journal of Counseling (LJC) is the official journal of the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA). The aim of the journal is to provide counselor educators, counseling practitioners, counseling professionals, and counseling graduate students, with the opportunity to publish clinical/practice oriented as well as experimental research on issues relevant to the field of counseling in order to foster research and innovative practices. Through this united focus, LCA maintains and improves professional standards, promotes professional development, keeps abreast of current legislation, and encourages communication among members to enrich the life processes and advance the profession of counseling within the state of Louisiana.

2.5 CE Clock hours for LPCs and PLPCs are available for reading the Journal. Members of LCA may read the Journal and complete the test. $10.00 must accompany the test and application available in the Journal when mailed to the LCA office. The Louisiana Counseling Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP #2019. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. LCA is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
Non-members of LCA may submit $25.00 along with the form and test.
