Anorexia Nervosa & other restrictive eating disorders will be discussed including assessment, diagnosis, and the implementation of an initial treatment plan with specific, measurable goals. Case scenarios will be presented.

Content of the presentation will include information on how to accurately assess for behavioral and psychological symptoms of restrictive eating disorders and their psychosocial influences. This will allow participants to accurately diagnose and develop an appropriate treatment plan with measurable goals based on the appraisal. Accurate diagnosis and treatment planning align with the ethics of mental health professionals to practice within their scope. Ethical considerations will be discussed in terms of approach to working with individuals who have restrictive eating disorders.
